Intro to Bobbin Lace

Part of the London Pattern Club Summer School.

In this workshop, we’ll be practising bobbin lace - a 500-year-old craft which served as an inspiration for modern computing. We’ll cover the tools and techniques you'll need to get started, with plenty of time to practise alongside experienced lacemakers.
This workshop is intended for complete beginners, as well as experienced practitioners who’d like a fresh perspective on the craft. Materials and equipment will be provided, but please bring your own bobbins, pillow and thread if you would prefer to use them.
