
Intro to Suminagashi (Japanese Paper Marbling)
Join local artist Fan Kong for an immersive workshop exploring the ancient art of suminagashi ("floating ink"). This captivating and meditative practice lets participants create stunning patterns on paper by floating colors on water.
In this session, you will:
- Learn to create and experiment with suminagashi techniques in small groups.
- Take home individual and/or collaborative prints that reflect your creativity.
- Engage in reflections on creative problem solving to challenge traditional thinking processes.
