Jazz on the Roof: Voilà!

Voilà! will perform as part of the Jazz on the Roof series at the Jazz Dock.

This year the Jazz Dock brings a new concert series called Jazz on the Roof. A small chamber ensemble will perform on the roof of the Jazz Dock every summer Saturday and will delight you with beautiful songs, refined solos and a calm summer atmosphere of the acoustic form of jazz.

The concerts of the trio Voilà! are a musical trip around France. Zdenka Trvalcova's voice is reminiscent of the times when Edith Piaf sang on the streets of Paris—and it is no coincidence that Zdenka played the role of this singer for several years in the musical Edith Piaf – The Sparrow from the Suburbs. In a trio with accordionist Michal Mihok and guitarist and singer Tibor Žida, they focus not only on arrangements of well-known French songs, but also on their own work, in which they honor the tradition of the manouche style of French jazz. Their original music is a blend of French chanson and swing, spiced with a variety of other musical influences.

• In case of bad weather, the concert will take place inside the club.
• The year-round operation of the club is supported by a grant from the City of Prague.
