Did you know that some of the most popular apps, like Lyft and Tinder, began as hackathon projects? Join us at JEWEL CITY HACKS 4.0 for an exciting hackathon experience at Glendale Community College where innovation meets competition!

Challenge Overview

Think Globally, Build Locally 🌍➡️🏙️
We're inviting the brightest minds from Glendale and beyond to create technology that empowers our communities. Your goal is to design innovative solutions that make our cities smarter and more connected.

Imagine if your code could:

• Help residents navigate transportation with a live transit tracker 🚌
• Enable easier local decision-making with an online voting tool 🗳️
• Streamline city assistance through an intuitive service request platform 🏛️

Your projects could be in the form of mobile apps, web solutions, or hardware prototypes!

Eligibility

This hackathon welcomes both students and professionals within Los Angeles County. We're limited to 50 participants on-site, but remote participation is also available.

• Computer Science Club Members at Glendale Community College have guaranteed admission.
• Participants aged 14+ are welcome; those under 18 must have a parental consent form signed and their guardian present during the event.
