This week, we hand the floor to our Georgian friend DJ Sense, joined by local selector Amiraku, for an evening that moves through dense, considered electronics and into something heavier as the night finds its footing.

DJ Sense comes out of Tbilisi's underground — a city whose club culture has built a reputation for seriousness and stamina, with Bassiani at its centre. He's a regular presence at venues like Horoom, Tes Club and The White Hotel, and runs Tears in Club, a community radio show dedicated to experimentation and subcultural space-making. His sound sits in dense, progressive territory but makes room for dub, ambient drift, and what his bio calls "collapse" — that feeling when a set consciously unravels something before rebuilding it. He's not a DJ who plays to impress quickly. He constructs, then dismantles, asking what can still be felt in rooms oversaturated with noise. At Jolene's scale, that approach lands differently. The room is small enough that nothing gets lost.

Amiraku opens the night, setting the table for what follows. Amiraku (Amir Blondeel) is a well known Moroccan-born, Copenhagen-based DJ, who's no stranger to extended sessions in Baggen and Jolene. He is a key figure in the local scene, specializing in minimal house, dub techno, and old-school Detroit sounds — somewhere where the headsy and attentive meet the fun and functional, never disappoints!

Doors open at eight, DJs from whenever it makes sense, floor fills slowly, and by midnight the room is exactly where it needs to be. Jolene Bar on a Thursday is never a stretch — it's just a good reason to be out.
