Když hudba odpoví

When Music Answers is a concert series held at Artium by KKCG in Prague’s Bořislavka district. It is based on the conviction that music is not merely a backdrop to the world, but a way of responding to it. An answer here does not mean a quick reaction or a definitive judgement. It is a stance — a conscious choice to express oneself through sound, text and silence.

Human responsibility is connected with the weight of consequences. The responsibility of art is light — because it does not arise from obligation, but from sensitivity. It is not a reaction to guilt. It is a reaction to perception.

The theme of this year’s edition, responsibility, is not understood as a burden, but as the ability not to ignore. To perceive, reflect and respond according to one’s own values. Art carries a special kind of responsibility: it is not bound to a specific act, yet it can have a profound impact. It is light in its form, but strong in its meaning.

Three evenings - three different forms of answer:

7:00 PM 25. 3. 2026 – Never Sol & string trio<br>
An introspective, sonically experimental concert responding to the reality of today’s world sensitively and without compromise.

7:00 PM 29. 4. 2026 – Jana Kirschner<br>
A special acoustic set by one of the most distinctive figures of the Central European music scene — an intimate answer rooted in fidelity to one’s own voice.

7:00 PM 27. 5. 2026 – Igor Orozovič & CO.<br>
An authorial concert connecting chanson, pop and jazz, in which music becomes a personal statement and dialogue with the audience.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated in support of the Piana to Schools project of the Karel Komárek Family Foundation, specifically to scholarship programme for young talents.
