Komentovaná prohlídka: Wolfgang Beltracchi Divine Stories – Božské příběhy

Wolfgang Beltracchi, a globally renowned contemporary painter and former art forger, is presenting his current work in Prague for the first time at the Municipal House. The exhibition titled “Divine Stories” features more than 90 original paintings and sculptures created between 2010 and 2026.

Beltracchi consciously builds on the legacy of the Old Masters, which he studied for many years and— as is well known from his controversial past—also masterfully imitated. This time, however, he steps out of the role of an imitator and presents his own interpretations, in which historical references intertwine with the present.

The exhibition offers a unique opportunity not only to become familiar with Beltracchi’s work, but also to appreciate its beauty and relevance today.
