Leopard.FYI San Francisco Summer Happy Hour at Magic HQ 💜🪄☀️
Join the Leopard.FYI community for a Low Key Happy Hour at Magic HQ in Telegraph Hill!
What to Expect: Networking events can often be stressful and not conducive to forming genuine connections. Leopard events provide a relaxed alternative, bringing together community members & mentors in a supportive and safe space <3
We typically keep these events agenda-light; we like to bring icebreakers and prizes, and give folks a chance to meet eachother and also meet the Magic team and to learn about what they're building.
Who This Is Event is For ✅ :
✅ Leopard.FYI Members 💜: women & non-binary senior engineers and engineering leaders in the Leopard network
✅ Magic Team members 🪄
Food: Enjoy beverages & lite bites from TBD. Email us if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, but we typically make sure to offer a variety of options that are inclusive for Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Dairy-Free members.
For Updates: Check this page as well as the #c-leopard-local-sf Slack channel for updates (Lexi likes to blab as she plans lol). If you need slack access, email noems@leopard.fyi
About Leopard.FYI: We connect women and non-binary engineers to vetted companies with great cultures. Leopard gathers intel on company culture, compensation, gender diversity, interview processes, and more! We also run a free slack community for women/nb engineers to share, connect, backchannel, mentor and prepare for interviews together.

About our Co-Host, Magic 🪄
Magic is a San Francisco–based frontier AI company (backed by Sequoia) building advanced code models designed to automate software engineering and research.
Their Mission: "To build safe AGI that accelerates humanity’s progress on the world’s most important problems. We believe the most promising path to safe AGI lies in automating research and code generation to improve models and solve alignment more reliably than humans can alone. Our approach combines frontier-scale pre-training, domain-specific RL, ultra-long context, and inference-time compute to achieve this goal."
Magic is now just over 75 employees, with roughly 65 people on the engineering team. The company is planning to double or even triple headcount this year as it scales research and product engineering. They’re actively partnering with Leopard to keep growing representation across product and technical roles, and we’re especially excited that Leopard member Julia is joining the engineering team this April 💜
Magic is a Leopard hiring partner, which means they are actively working with Leopard to fill Product Engineering, Infrastructure, DevEx, Inference, and Senior Technical roles. Leopard has deeper insight into their culture, technical direction, and interview process, so if a role aligns with your background, we’ll share everything you need to know directly in your Leopard Slack channel!
