Join us for Listening - Sound System Sessions as part of Eric Magassa's exhibition Rumble in the Jungle! This multisensory experience invites you to engage with music and the communal sharing of knowledge through energetic DJ sets.

These informal gatherings are designed to deepen the thematic exploration of sound and memory within the exhibition. The sound system serves as both an artistic sculpture and a vibrant source of enjoyment!

🌟 First Guest:
Get ready to groove with Alanna Stuart (aka PYNE), a talented Caribbean-Canadian artist who blends scholarship with sound. Known for her ‘Femmehall’ approach to dancehall reggae, Alanna has collaborated with renowned artists like Beverly Glenn Copeland and U.S. Girls, and has performed alongside Etta James and Little Dragon.

🔍 Alanna is also a SSHRC Doctoral Fellow and a PhD student in Gender Studies at Queen’s University, contributing her research to esteemed publications. Discover her artistry and intellect at this unique event!
