LSE Generate x Google Better World Summit: Responsible AI for Europe’s Next Tech Leap
Led by LSE Generate and the Google AI Center Berlin, this one-day summit sits at the intersection of responsible AI, European competitiveness and founder-led innovation. As part of LSE’s Global AI Founder Programme, the event brings together LSE academics, Google leaders, leading alumni innovators, AI experts and public policy makers from Berlin and across Europe.
Hosted at Google's new AI Center in Berlin, the event reflects the city's growing role as a meeting point for researchers, founders, investors and policymakers shaping the future of AI in Europe.
The summit brings together perspectives from research, startups, venture capital, government, technology and culture, creating opportunities for conversations that rarely happen within a single event.
With governments increasingly backing entrepreneurship and Europe possessing formidable strengths in ethics, regulation, research excellence and public trust, the summit explores how the continent can position itself as a global leader in responsible AI and sustainable technological progress.
The programme tackles real-world questions shaping Europe’s future, including:
● How can Europe harness its expertise to become a leader in the global AI race?
● How do we defend privacy, free expression and democratic integrity in an AI-first world?
● How can founders build responsibly whilst maintaining trust and remaining globally competitive?
● What does a greener, more resilient AI economy look like?
