Networking Topic: Can AI Replace Human Intuition? Can You Smell a Color?

Have you ever met someone and immediately felt a natural connection—or sensed, without a word being spoken, that something just didn't feel right?

I describe this ability as "near-field smell" and "far-field Q-sense"—our innate capacity to perceive subtle information from people and environments beyond conscious reasoning.

Recent scientific discoveries suggest that olfactory receptors are not found only in the nose. Researchers have identified them in the skin, muscles, kidneys, and even immune cells. Could it be that we "smell" the world through much more than our noses?

In this Lunch Talk, we'll explore fascinating questions at the intersection of neuroscience, biology, perception, and AI:

Can AI ever replicate human intuition and perception?

Can humans "smell" emotions, health, or compatibility?

Is there a biological basis for the feeling that someone or somewhere is "a good fit"?

If our bodies perceive information in ways we don't yet fully understand, what does this mean for the future of AI?
