Hangout is a format without speakers or much preparation. Instead all the two hours are reserved for an open discussion and networking. It is good if you are curious to learn whether AI Safety is a thing or find collaborators/friends/networking.

We’re living through something comparable to the Industrial Revolution — except this time, the machines don’t just replace muscle, they try to replicate cognition.
This meetup is for people in Lund who want to calmly and seriously discuss AI safety: how advanced AI systems might impact society, work, power, and long-term human wellbeing — and what can be done to steer development in a beneficial direction.
The meetup is informal and discussion-based. We’ll talk about current AI systems, near-future risks, ethical questions, governance, and technical safety ideas — always with an emphasis on critical thinking rather than hype or fear.
You don’t need to be an AI expert. Students, researchers, professionals, and curious non-technical people are all welcome. If you’re interested in understanding AI beyond headlines — and want to think together with others — this meetup is for you. Fun and nice atmosphere included.
