Maclellan Island Eco Tours offer a guided experience from downtown Chattanooga to one of the Tennessee River’s most remarkable hidden natural areas. 🌳 Guests will travel by boat to Maclellan Island, where a knowledgeable guide will share insights both en route and on-site!

What to Expect:

• Island Highlights: Discover the island’s history, native plants, and wildlife, along with conservation efforts by the Chattanooga Audubon Society. 🦋
• Invasive Species & Conservation: Learn about invasive species management and the significant erosion challenges facing the island. 🌊
• Meet the Goats: Enjoy a visit with the island’s resident goats and their guardian dog, who play a crucial role in vegetation management. 🐐

Important Details:

• What to Bring: Please wear appropriate footwear and bring plenty of water. 💧
• Walking Distance: The walk on the island is approximately one mile over dirt paths.
• Facilities: Restrooms are available on the boat and at composting toilets on the island. 🚻
