Marty Supreme

The film Marty Supreme follows Marty Mauser, a young dreamer from New York in 1952 who is obsessed with becoming the world champion in table tennis, a sport that was not very attractive at the time. The film follows his obsessive, sometimes naive belief in himself, which drives him across New York to London, Paris, and Tokyo.

Director Josh Safdie combines the rawness and detailed atmosphere of the 1950s with strong performances led by Timothée Chalamet. The cast is rounded out by Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler the Creator, Kevin O'Leary, Fran Drescher, and Odessa A'zion.
