MDC flow + Portal

Join us for an immersive experience of movement, music, and theatrical happenings with MDC Flow + Portal! ✨ This leaderless (or leader-full) group improvisation invites you to listen deeply to yourself, others, and the energy in the room, allowing us to create an organic journey with a beginning, middle, and end together.

Arrive between **6:00-6:15 PM** for tea and socializing. Singing will commence from **6:30-8:30 PM**, followed by a winding down and chatting session until we clear out at **9:00 PM**.

The Downbeat is a collaborative vocal improv community in the Bay Area, meeting every Monday in the East Bay to sing. CVI at its essence is when an attuned group spontaneously creates music together using voices and bodies. It’s all about listening, responding, and playing—where music organically unfolds! CVI sessions can range from highly structured games to completely spontaneous music emerging from the group.
