"Munising in Black & White" features 60 stunning photographs taken by Mary Jayne over seven decades, particularly highlighting the vibrant community life of the 1950s and 1960s. This selection represents only a fraction of her vast portfolio, which captures community events, street scenes, and school activities.

Hallifax's remarkable journey began in high school, and she later transformed her passion into a successful career, becoming Munising’s most sought-after commercial photographer for weddings and portraits. Her legacy continues through this exhibition, which includes images on loan from photograph collector Jack Deo.

In addition to her photographic work, she published a weekly column, sharing memories and stories from Alger County until her 95th birthday.
