Event Highlights:

• Saturday Excursion: We’ll tackle the majestic Helvellyn, England's third highest peak at 950 meters! Starting with a warm-up hike through the woods, we’ll ascend to Nethermost Pike with spectacular views of Striding Edge along the way. At the summit, behold the stunning sights of Red Tarn and Catstye Cam. Our return journey along Browncove Crags promises amazing views of Thirlmere Reservoir.

• Sunday Relaxation: Enjoy a leisurely hike to Walla Crag (379m), where you will be rewarded with panoramic views of Derwent Water and the iconic Cat Bells ridge. After the hike, explore the charming town of Keswick, known as the adventure capital of the Lake District! ☕🛍️

🗓️ Itinerary:

• Saturday:

  • 06:45: Meet outside Novotel London West, 1 Shortlands, W6 8DR (5-min walk from Hammersmith Station)
  • 07:00: Departure
  • 13:30-18:30: Climb Helvellyn & Nethermost Pike (Difficulty: Difficult, Distance: 11km, Ascent: 820m)
  • 19:30: Check-in at Premier Inn Whitehaven, Dinner, & Free Time

• Sunday:

  • 07:00: Breakfast
  • 08:00: Departure
  • 08:45-12:45: Hike to Walla Crag (Difficulty: Moderate, Distance: 11km, Ascent: 450m)
  • 12:45-14:30: Free time in Keswick
  • 14:30: Departure back to London, arriving at 21:00

🔧 What to Bring:

• Sturdy hiking boots
• Waterproof jacket and trousers
• Gloves, hat, and a full water bottle (min 1L)
• Snacks for energy!
