NOT NOT: Closing Talk + Reception

Join us for a closing talk and reception celebrating NOT NOT: An Office, An Exhibition! This summer, the Van Alen Institute has been transformed into a unique exhibition and temporary office space designed by the innovative studio NOT NOT.

During this event, Ekin Bilal and Celia Chaussabel, founders of NOT NOT, will discuss how architecture practices often begin with smaller, scrappy projects, rather than with large buildings. They will delve into the concept of ‘not not architecture’—a term for projects that might not fall under conventional architecture but are nonetheless significant.

Following the talk, enjoy refreshments and participate in the NOT NOT fire sale, where select display items and building materials will be available for purchase. Items include zines, prints, hand clamps, and building supplies. After the exhibition concludes, any remaining materials will be returned to their original sources.
