The Office of the Auditor General is proud to join the global community in commemorating the International Candlelight Ceremony for HIV/AIDS. This significant event has been observed annually since 1983 on the third Sunday of May, and this year, Botswana celebrated it on May 17th in Lobatse.

Theme: LIGHT THE LEGACY, Remember, Advance, Act

Join us as we shine a light for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, honoring their resilience and hope. The event was graced by Dr. Pastor Tebogo Philemon Motlhagodi, a board member of BOCCAIP, and Ms. Keneilwe Senyarelo, FCCA, ACPA, the Auditor General. Together, they lit the candles, symbolizing hope and solidarity.

Dr. Motlhagodi delivered a heartfelt message urging everyone to support one another in the fight against HIV/AIDS, emphasizing the importance of compassion and dedication to human rights. He called on the OAG team to deliver quality and productive services while upholding accountability and transparency.
