"Our Man in Vietnam" Exhibit Opening with Special Guest Bob Schieffer

🌟 Join us for a special evening on February 9th, from 16:00 to 19:00 as we celebrate the grand opening of the "Our Man in Vietnam" exhibit at the University of Texas at Arlington Libraries! This remarkable event will feature the legendary journalist Bob Schieffer, who will be present to share his experiences.

📸 Explore photographs and paintings created by Schieffer, who made his mark in history at just 28 years old as one of the first correspondents from a Texas newspaper to cover the Vietnam War. His assignment included meeting and interviewing service members from Texas and bringing their stories back home.

🎨 The exhibit showcases stunning painted portraits created in 2025, inspired by photographs Schieffer took of Texan soldiers during the war, as well as a selection of poignant letters and photographs from his collection.
