Paint your Pet! Beginner Friendly Pet Portrait Workshop with Kate Sypek

Calling all aspiring painters! Welcome to Artskool, an oil painting studio hosted at an artists residence in the equestrian district of Burbank.

🎨In this 4 hour beginner painting class we'll be creating a portrait of your favorite furry friend! We'll go over the materials, color mixing, and how to capture the unique details that make your pet, your pet. You'll also receive individual feedback and a live demo of the process from start to finish. I'll walk you through every step of the way!
🐾 You'll have the option to paint from a photo of your own pet, or follow along with me and paint mine. Either way, you'll walk away with a solid foundation in portraiture and a few new techniques you can keep building on.

Location
This is a private residence nestled in the equestrian neighborhood of Burbank. Plenty of street parking. Please enter through the brown gate which will be open 10 minutes before our start time.

About your instructor
Kate Sypek is a fine artist specializing in portraiture and figurative art. She is based in Los Angeles and has studied traditional painting methods in Florence, Italy.  She has combined her passion for art with her love of animals to build a thriving pet portrait business over the last 9 years.
