SOLD OUT: PEN Summer Social & Book Talk with Kim Echlin

Sobre el evento

Join us for the inaugural Summer Social, a vibrant gathering by PEN Canada that invites all writers and supporters to connect and engage! 🌟 This exciting event features a discussion with PEN International board member and acclaimed Canadian novelist, Kim Echlin.

We'll delve into her latest work, Tell Others: Storytelling for a World in Turmoil (Penguin Random House Canada, 2026), an intimate exploration of storytelling's cultural significance amidst chaos. Kim will engage in conversation with Ali Sobati, a talented Iranian poet, translator, and literary activist from the PEN Canada Writers in Exile community.

Highlights of the Event:

  • 🥪 Enjoy refreshments, including sandwiches, coffee, tea, and sweets!
  • 📖 Books available for purchase, with all proceeds supporting PEN Canada and PEN International.
  • 🤝 Open to all – feel free to bring friends, colleagues, or fellow writers! Plus ones encouraged!

Important Note:

  • RSVP is required to join the Summer Social.
  • This event follows the PEN members-only Annual General Meeting, taking place in the same venue.

We look forward to sharing this enlightening evening with you!
