Port Chicago Weekend: Red Oak Victory Experience

Join us for the Port Chicago Weekend aboard the historic Red Oak Victory! 🎉 Admission is free, thanks to the generous support of Mechanics Bank and the Port Chicago Alliance.

🌟 Have you always wanted to explore the Red Oak Victory? Now’s your chance! While we won’t be offering docent tours, feel free to wander the ship and chat with our crew members who will be on hand to answer your questions.

🎶 Enjoy live big band music from the Albany Jazz Small Band (Visit the Band) as you take in the sights! Marvel at vintage cars on display, including a stunning 1940s Greyhound bus from the Pacific Bus Museum (Check it out). Experience the atmosphere with individuals dressed in authentic 1940s uniforms and attire.

🌮 Don't forget to grab a delicious bite from the Tacos Picantes food truck! Plus, we’ll be screening the film Mutiny, which recounts the impactful story of the Port Chicago Disaster and its aftermath.
