Schedule:

  • July 20 & 21: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM
  • July 22: Evening Observation | 8:30 PM – 11:30 PM
    • Enjoy outdoor night observations using Chabot’s large and mobile telescopes!
  • July 23 & 24: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Who Can Attend:

Open to incoming 8th graders through incoming 12th graders.

What You'll Experience:

  • Build a deeper understanding of how the electromagnetic spectrum interacts with matter in the universe.
  • Engage in guided workshops and discussions at the planetarium.
  • Collect spectroscopic readings of various stars with large telescopes and analyze data to compare variations in stellar compositions.
  • Explore the past, present, and future of our Sun!

Tips for Attendees:

  • Bring a water bottle and snacks daily.
  • Dress in warm layers for the evening session on July 22.
