Join us for our Sensory-Friendly Days at the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center, designed specifically for friends and families with sensory processing differences! 💚 Enjoy a welcoming environment where building sounds and ambient noises are kept at a lower volume.

🧩 What to Expect:

• A quiet room filled with sensory materials.
• Staff who are KultureCity-certified, ensuring the best possible experience.
• Special themed activities each month:
  • May 3: Celebrate pollinators and their benefits to our community! 🌼
  • June 14: Learn Leave No Trace ethics when fishing and practice casting skills with Backyard Bass! 🎣
  • July 12: Dive into Great Lakes knowledge and explore with live sturgeon! 🌊
  • August 9: Join us for catch-and-release fishing at Milliken State Park! Equipment provided. 🐟
  • October 4: Celebrate fall! Wear your favorite fall shirt or Halloween costume (no masks) and enjoy trick-or-treating around the building! 🎃
• The building opens to the public at noon with standard volume levels resuming.
