SOEP 2026 - 16th International German Socio-Economic Panel User Conference

The Call for Papers for the SOEP2026 - 16th International German Socio-Economic Panel User Conference is now live! 📢 Submissions are open until the end of February 2026.

We invite electronic versions of abstracts (up to 300 words) to be submitted by February 28, 2026 to soep2026@diw.de.

This conference is a fantastic opportunity for researchers utilizing the SOEP to showcase and discuss their findings with fellow academics. We welcome all users of the SOEP, including those using the Cross-National Equivalent File (CNEF), LIS/LWS data, SOEP-IS, and migration samples such as IAB-SOEP and IAB-BAMF-SOEP.

We particularly encourage submissions that delve into issues of meta-science, robustness, replicability, reproducibility, and open science. Contributions that compare or combine different populations, samples, analyses, designs, methods, and time periods are especially welcome. Additionally, we invite works that utilize the longitudinal features of SOEP and those focusing on survey methodology and cross-national comparative analysis.
