Story Night by Viet Up

As part of the accompanying program for the exhibition Little Hanoi, Next Generation, Story Night will take place on June 24—an evening of personal stories and shared experiences from selected individuals featured in the exhibition.

Little Hanoi, Next Generation is a photographic exhibition presenting more than 70 portraits of second-generation Vietnamese growing up in the Czech Republic. The project captures their personal stories, professional paths, and the experience of living between two cultural environments – Czech and Vietnamese. The portraits were taken by photographers Štěpánka Stein and Vendy Mlejnská. The biographical profiles were written by Thuy Duong Nguyen Trinh.

The exhibition loosely follows the original Little Hanoi series from 2008, which was presented at Mánes Exhibition Hall in Prague. The new project develops this theme through the perspective of a generation that has grown up in the Czech Republic and is actively shaping its cultural and social landscape.

The exhibition is held under the patronage of Miloš Vystrčil, President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and H.E. Duong Hoai Nam, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Czech Republic. ČSOB is the general partner of the project.
