The Antonín Dvořák Memorial in Vysoká u Příbrami invites children and their parents to enjoy puppet theater performances on summer Sundays! When the weather is nice, the castle park serves as our backdrop, but we are also prepared to move indoors to the castle if the weather is less favorable.

Our performances of classic folk fairy tales draw on the tradition of family theater and our long-standing desire to create an authentic theatrical experience. After all, what could be nicer than when parents (or a kind uncle) would pull out a puppet theater after Sunday lunch instead of turning on the TV, wait for the neighbor’s children to gather, and start performing a fairy tale for them? Our fairy tales are also based on elements of improvisation, particularly on direct collaboration with the children.
Thus, our improvised performances offer children (and not just them) not only a familiar fairy tale, but also the opportunity to actively participate in the story.
