Definition: "Reflect" means to cast back light, heat, or sound; to mirror an image; or to think deeply about something
Research Question (RQ) 1: Can we collectively reflect color and sound?
RQ2: Can an absence of color be interpreted through sound?
Hypothesis: Yes. By intentionally linking curated ambient soundscapes with responsive color, we can create a shared SYNESTRANSIA experience—one where what we hear becomes what we see, together.
Method: An evening of active listening, this time with the set color palette of black, blue, orange, and red. DJs will provide sets interpreting these colors, as a special set devoted to the absence of color. We provide the sound; you provide the perception.
Participants Needed: You. And your friends.
Dress Code: Reflecting darkness. Show us through shades of black, blue, orange, and red.
What to Expect: Just like the first experiment, but better. Colors inducing connections— from within and across the room. Let intentional music listening and self-expression in a space set the tone for your week.

You’re invited to Synestransia’s second experiment. Building on our first inquiry into color-inspired DJ sets, we now turn the question to what happens when we reflect on sounds in terms of qualities of darkness and brightness?
As always, we reject the idea that music is only auditory. For this experiment, ambient soundscapes will be woven, not just by key and BPM, but by their potential to evoke color. In response, Kwia's lighting will translate the music in real-time, shifting the collective mood as a visual echo of what we’re hearing together.
Collectively, we ask: what can intentional reflection reveal?
We’re curious to see the results, and we can assure you that you won't want to miss this one..
