Tausend House: Kristin Velvet

On Saturday, 30 May, Kristin Velvet lands at Bar Tausend with a house sound that nods to ’90s Chicago/Detroit and golden-era hip-hop, but always with a clean, forward-leaning edge. 2026 has already brought standout releases: her “Gratitude EP” on Exit Strategy (Innervisions’ sister label) and a Hot Creations EP, alongside ongoing output on Arms & Legs, the label she co-runs with Daniel Steinberg. A key part of her story is a seven-year residency at Watergate, plus appearances on platforms like Boiler Room—experience that shows in how she builds a night: energetic, functional, and never overworked. Her productions also continue to draw support from DJs across the spectrum, including Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, and Jimi Jules.
