Join us for the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival, a highlight of Tewkesbury's summer since 1983! This festival is celebrated as the largest free medieval gathering in Europe, attracting countless re-enactors, traders, entertainers, and visitors from around the globe.

The event centers around a magnificent re-enactment of the Battle of Tewkesbury, taking place on the original battlefield of 1471. Participants, including families, live as a medieval army in authentic encampments throughout the weekend. Expect a vibrant array of period entertainment, featuring music, dance, drama, and intriguing historical characters like surgeons, preachers, and even the occasional dragon keeper! 🐉

Kids will love our dedicated activity area, offering arts and crafts sessions rooted in history, alongside an exhibition tent with displays from various historical organizations.
