Sobre el evento

Join us for an insightful and free event featuring Professor Sergei Guriev, an esteemed economist and public intellectual from the London Business School.

In this Tore Browaldh Lecture, Professor Guriev will delve into the transformative impact of mobile broadband and social media on:

  • 📊 Political incentives
  • 🔄 Information flows
  • ⚖️ Dynamics of political competition

As technology giants increasingly influence the dissemination of information, the functioning of markets, and the contestation of political power, we find ourselves in a rapidly changing landscape. The expansion of mobile technology is reshaping industries, redefining political dynamics, and altering the balance of power between citizens, governments, and corporations.

Moreover, the digital information ecosystem poses pressing challenges around disinformation, accountability, and the resilience of democratic institutions.

Following the lecture, join Cecilia Malmström for a Q&A session, where you can engage with the topics discussed!
