The Fourth Wave powered by Heroine: The voice of Hind Rajab + Q&A with Tereza Langrová
The feminist cycle in Edison Filmhub is dedicated to films shot by women with fascinating female characters who lend a hand in shifting gender stereotypes. Film critic and distribution dramaturge Tereza Domínová will present “one must-see emancipation” per month. All-female panels will also be present after each film.
Tunisian director Kaouther ben Hania blurs the line between documentary and dramatized reconstruction. Anchored by the voice of Hind Rajab, the story unfolds entirely through real calls to a Ramallah call center. With minimal visuals, the film relies on the power of voice and silence, juxtaposing a child’s fragile hope with the harsh realities of war. The result is a stark, urgent testimony to the failure to protect civilians, and to how easily a single life can vanish in the anonymity of armed conflict.
