About The Sonoran Dogs

Bursting onto the Arizona music scene in 2011, The Sonoran Dogs were originally formed for a unique collaboration with renowned Japanese guitarist Maro Kawabata. Since then, they've grown into one of the Southwest’s most exciting acoustic ensembles.

Their style is rooted in bluegrass tradition, but they are never confined by it. Expect a thrilling blend of hard-driving traditional tunes, progressive influences, and original music that keeps audiences captivated! 🎻

At the band’s core is award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist Peter McLaughlin, alongside talented musicians like Mark Miracle on mandolin and vocals, and banjo powerhouse Tyler James. Completing this dynamic ensemble is Joelle Tambe-Ebot, whose driving bass and vibrant harmonies elevate their performances to a new level.
