Madeline Dierauf and Molly Johnson, who bonded over their love for music at the Hagood Mill Fiddlers Convention in 2021, have joined forces to create a fresh blend of Folk, Americana, Bluegrass, and Old-time. In 2025, they welcomed guitarist Audrey Neel into the mix, and the trio's musical chemistry has only flourished since.
Their unique sound is defined by rich three-part harmonies, a delightful mix of old-time ballads and modern melodies, featuring bluegrass banjo, fiddle, and clawhammer string-band tunes. Each performance showcases their original songs and intricate arrangements that bring out their instrumental talents.
Having opened for well-known acts like the SteelDrivers and Steep Canyon Rangers, and performed at esteemed festivals such as Merlefest and GreyFox Bluegrass Festival, The Wilder Flower also contributes to music education through their workshops and outreach programs.
