Tramvaj do stanice Touha

Sobre el evento

A jazz-infused dance story based on Tennessee Williams' play. Blanche DuBois, a woman fleeing her past, encounters harsh reality and her own delusions. DEKKADANCERS and Arthur Pita transform A Streetcar Named Desire into an electrifying musical and dance experience.

A thirst for life captured through dance. A jazz-infused infusion of contemporary dance based on Tennessee Williams' play, adapted by Arthur Pita and DEKKADANCERS. Former Southern belle Blanche DuBois unexpectedly visits her sister Stella and her boorish husband Stanley. Blanche's fragile world collapses when Stanley begins to get too dangerously close to the truth about her past.

Through choreography, music, and casting, the audience is transported to a place where reality and illusion, fragility and masculinity, warmth and indifference collide. DEKKADANCERS brings the team of choreographer and director Arthur Pity to Prague. This team will transform Tennessee Williams' classic 1947 play into a contemporary musical and dance experience. The raw atmosphere of summer in New Orleans will be filled with original music by leading composer Frank Moon. The set and costumes by designer Yann Seabra will bring a period feel to the production.
