About the Artist

AMICI, meaning "friends" in Italian, supports the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in the New Orleans District and Gulf Coast Regional Auditions. This prestigious program has been showcasing young singers since 1954, with 39 districts organized into 12 regions. Winners from each district advance to regional auditions, and the best compete in the national semifinals and finals at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City.
