Experimental London record label SWIMS invite Finnish poet Sara Kärpänen for an evening exploring the wilder fringes between sonic texture and language.
Sara Kärpänen is a Finnish writer, poet and curator based in London. Her stage poetry combines movement and sound, drawing from a connection with nature, multilingual expression, and experiences of womanhood, gentrification and belonging in the city. She has performed at Somerset House, the Serpentine Gallery and cultural venues across Europe, and developed her practice through international residencies in Los Angeles, London and Portugal. She is the Founder of Women of the Wick, a feminist storytelling platform.
