GR Gallery is excited to present “Made To Appear”, featuring the innovative works of artists Viraj Khanna and Brian Robertson. This two-person exhibition dives into traditional textile techniques blended with contemporary imagery and sharp cultural commentary, exploring the emotional residues and performative aspects of our social media-driven society.

The exhibition showcases a striking collection of mixed media, where the artistry challenges conventional notions of materiality, identity, and community. Viewers will be captivated by the layered textures and intricate forms that serve as a reflection on modern life. What you see is not immediately clear; upon first glance, embroidered surfaces might be mistaken for paintings or digital images. It’s only upon closer inspection that their textile roots are revealed.

The title encapsulates the delicate balance between perception and reality, inviting the audience to navigate the ambiguous boundary between image and object, authenticity and artifice.

This event marks the debut collaboration between the gallery and both artists, featuring new series of artworks created exclusively for this exhibition.
