📜 Synopsis

In a serene Akan village where sisterhood reigns supreme and marriage is pivotal for survival, Asabea has always selflessly supported her younger sister Akosua—sharing her clothes, jewels, and aspirations. However, when Akosua's marriage faces the harsh reality of infertility, she pleads for an ultimate sacrifice. Guided by a powerful traditional priest, Asabea learns that only her own body can enable her sister to conceive.

Torn between her unwavering love and the burdens of destiny, she complies. But as the child is born, feelings of gratitude shift to jealousy, and love fades into cruelty. Betrayed by the very sister she redeemed, Asabea finds herself a mere shadow in the home she nurtured with her sacrifice.

When silence can no longer contain her anguish, the gods will heed her outcry.
