About the Speaker:

Chad, our expert speaker, became the Director of the UCSC Natural Reserves and Santa Cruz Mountains Reserve in October 2022. With a Master’s degree in Natural Resources – Wildlife and a Bachelor’s in Zoology, Chad brings a wealth of knowledge from his experience as a wildlife biologist across California's diverse ecosystems. Growing up in San Jose, he's familiar with the Santa Cruz Mountains, making this position a heartfelt return to the woodlands and watersheds he loves.
