A Summer Solstice Experience at Whittle Dene
Sunday 21 June • Four Hour Guided Session
Join us for a woodland immersive, Solstice gathering in the heart of Whittle Dene. A chance to slow down, walk the land, and connect with the birds, trees and seasonal energy of the longest day.
We’ll follow a mindful route through Whittle Dene woods and surrounding meadows; pausing at points in the landscape to notice the sounds and character of the valley. Along the way, we’ll settle into a moment of stillness to listen to birdsong and explore how certain birds can offer insight, symbolism or guidance at this turning point of the year.
Later finding a fireside seat, you will create a simple charcoal drawing on a natural wood round; bringing your “spirit bird” or woodland inspiration to life. No artistic experience is needed; this is a relaxed, reflective activity using natural materials.
Woodland Connection and Spirit Bird Journey blends nature connection and creativity in a calming environment under the trees.
