🎤 About the Artist:
Yasuaki Shimizu, a renowned Japanese saxophonist and composer, is making his debut in Finland! His iconic albums from the early '80s, Kakashi and Utakata No Hibi, have captivated audiences across generations. With nearly 50 years in the industry, Shimizu has collaborated with the likes of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Björk, Van Dyke Parks, and David Cunningham.

His unique sound blends elements of Japanese musical traditions, pop culture, and jazz, all laced with a playful experimentalism. Kakashi stands as a testament to his groundbreaking approach, transcending genre boundaries. Recently, he toured North America with sold-out performances, and this Helsinki concert promises to be one of the most delightful surprises of the autumn! 🎉
