Paul Hackett is a mild-mannered office worker whose quiet evening spirals into chaos the moment he heads downtown to meet a woman he's just met. What starts as a simple date turns into an increasingly bizarre, sleepless odyssey through SoHo, as one mishap after another strands him further from home and sanity.
Directed by Martin Scorsese at his most playfully unhinged, After Hours is a razor-sharp black comedy about paranoia, bad luck, and the particular hell of a night that refuses to end. Shot through with dark humour and nervous energy, it's a cult classic that captures 1980s New York at its strangest and most alive.
