Akutaq Ice Cream Social

Join us for a delicious and unique experience at the Akutaq Ice Cream Social! The way we pronounce 'akutaq' is a-goo-duk. This traditional dish, made in various ways by Native peoples, has been a staple of survival for generations. When out on hunting expeditions, they brought akutaq with them — and it can be crafted using an array of ingredients such as moose meat and fat, caribou meat and fat, fish, seal oil, berries, and other Alaskan treasures.
