🌳 Among the Trees! – Family Forest School for Home Ed Families

Step into the enchanting world of nature at Radford Park with Family Forest School, a specially crafted outdoor learning experience brought to you by Forest Fusion! Designed for children aged 4 and above, this immersive session invites your Home Ed family to explore, discover, and create together in a beautiful woodland setting.

🌿 What to Expect

A wonderful range of open-ended provocations and hands-on activities await, many of which are adaptable across different ages. Activities may include:

• 🪵 Whittling
• 🍂 Mud kitchen play
• 🌾 Nature crafts & weaving
• 🌿 Leaf bashing onto fabric to take home as a keepsake
• 🏺 Making your own clay trinket dish imprinted with natural objects (e.g. fern leaves)
• 🐦 Bird watching
• ✏️ Sensory drawing and journalling
• 🎵 Mini sound bath (time permitting, to close the session!)

Our team will be on hand to facilitate and guide these experiences throughout the morning.

⚠️ Please note: Fires and fire-starting activities are unfortunately not permitted within this particular park.

👨‍👩‍👧 Important Safety Information

Adults attending are solely responsible for their dependents at all times. Every child must remain supervised by their accompanying adult throughout the session.

The area does include a slope near our patch with streams below. These can be accessed safely if you choose to explore independently — and there is a much safer route available than attempting to descend the sloping hill! Please be mindful of uneven terrain throughout the park. Adults remain responsible for the supervision and sole responsibility for the safety of their dependents at all times.
