AUDITIONS for Run For Your Wife

Join us for auditions for the delightful British comedy Run For Your Wife, written by Ray Cooney!

🎬 Synopsis:
This 1982 comedy follows John Smith, an "ordinary" London taxi driver who juggles two wives in different towns. When his double life is exposed, chaos ensues!

📅 Show Dates:
Fridays & Saturdays: September 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th, & 26th at 7:30 PM
Sunday, September 20th at 2:00 PM

👥 Character Descriptions (all with British accents):

• JOHN SMITH: Male presenting (30s-60s) – A quick-witted, inventive taxi driver who's a bigamist, requiring excellent comic timing and physical versatility.
• MARY SMITH: Female presenting (20s-60s) – John's wife who transitions from control to chaos, showcasing a wide range of emotions.
• BARBARA SMITH: Female presenting (20s-60s) – John's second wife who is bohemian and somewhat ditzy, needing strong comic timing.
• DETECTIVE SERGEANT TROUGHTON: Male presenting (30s-60s) – A serious and commanding police officer, requiring vocal variety.
• DETECTIVE SERGEANT PORTERHOUSE: Male presenting (30s-60s) – A compassionate detective, a bit naïve, with a bemused demeanor.
• BOBBY FRANKLIN: Male presenting (20++) – A flamboyant dress designer with charm and wit, needing good comic timing.
• STANLEY GARDNER: Male presenting (20s++) – John's neighbor, drawn into the chaos, requiring physicality and accent versatility.

🎤 Audition Format:
Auditions will start promptly at 6:30 PM. Please submit your completed audition form at the beginning. Actors may be asked to read for various parts. You can attend one or both audition nights.
