In 1904, Karl Straube published ‘Alte Meister’, reviving works by Muffat, Buxtehude, and others, making them resonate in contemporary organ music. The programme is structured as a mirror, with the central axis featuring Pärt’s Spiegel im Spiegel, flanked by renowned Passacaglias and culminating in beloved organ chorales by Bach.
