
Berg Orchestra – SPACE
BERG Orchestra performs outstanding music by a powerful generation of women in their forties. A Lithuanian living in the UK, an Italian based between Berlin and Paris, and an Irish and Czech composers. Distinctive voices with an original language and a unique sense of musical color and texture. All the works draw on natural or biological processes (sleep waves, spider molting, electromagnetism).

The BERG Orchestra is an excellent Czech ensemble specialized in the performance of contemporary music. Since its inception it has commissioned and premiered almost three hundred new works. In 2021, it won the prestigious Prix Italia award for the Czech Republic for the first time in more than half a century.
This event is organized in collaboration with the Old Sewage Plant and is part of its 120th anniversary.
