For the upcoming DataScienceSG Meetup, we’re diving into SEA-LION, AI Singapore's groundbreaking open-source multilingual LLM specifically designed for Southeast Asia, which is gaining international recognition!

Thousands of languages are spoken worldwide, yet only a handful are adequately represented in AI. This gap leads to applications that underperform and leaves entire communities missing out on the advantages of modern AI.

The SEA-LION team from AI Singapore and Adaption is on a mission to change that. Join us and discover how they are tackling one of the major challenges in the field: developing high-quality datasets for low-resource languages. Using Southeast Asia as a testing ground, they will share the collaborative and technical efforts behind the creation of more inclusive language models.
